Target only rich results in Google's current gallery, like Product, Article, Organization

Why it matters
Google trimmed its structured data features repeatedly in 2025 and 2026. As of October 2026 the gallery lists 25 features, including Article, Breadcrumb, Organization, Product, Review snippet, Software app, Video, Event, Recipe and Profile page, and no longer includes FAQ or HowTo. Markup for removed features earns no visual enhancement in Google.
How to do it
- Check each schema type you emit against the current search gallery
- Prioritize Organization, Product or SoftwareApplication with Offer, Article and BreadcrumbList
- Keep markup for removed types only if another consumer (Bing, a feed, an internal tool) uses it
