Publish original, first-hand content that adds something the rest of the web hasn't said

Why it matters
Google's helpful content guidance and its 2026 generative AI guide both say the same thing: content created for people with first-hand experience wins, and recycled summaries do not. AI Overviews and AI Mode run on the same ranking and quality systems as classic Search. Commodity content gives an answer engine no reason to cite you over the original.
How to do it
- Add something only you have: test results, customer data, screenshots, pricing, process detail
- Ask whether a reader arriving directly would feel satisfied without returning to search
- Cut sections that only restate what top results already say
